The director’s latest film to date returns to the origins of his cinema. His themes: home and family, which are linked by strong and indissoluble affections that transcend time.

These are diverse, often inexplicable interdependencies within a family that can have unexpected effects on the present and especially the future. Strokes of fate that can throw everything into disarray, as in the case of Arturo and Alessandro. They have been together for 15 years and their relationship seems to have come to an end. The passion has faded, the love has changed and both are increasingly going their own ways. When a friend from days gone by suddenly turns up and entrusts them with their two children for a few days, it upsets the couple’s already precarious equilibrium.
