Director Cem Kaya tells the story of the 60-year musical culture of migrants from Turkey in Germany. The unique music of Turkish guest workers and their children and grandchildren is something very special: the musical culture only existed in this form in Germany.

Over the years, an independent musical movement developed in Germany that did not exist in this form in Turkey.

Between assembly line jobs and racism, homesickness and family reunification, a unique and diverse sound culture emerged.
