Kibar Feyzo is a Turkish film from 1978, directed by Atıf Yılmaz. The screenplay for the socially critical comedy was written by İhsan Yüce. Kemal Sunal, Şener Şen, İlyas Salman and Adile Naşit played the leading roles.
The film begins with a court hearing. The accused, Feyzo, is on trial for shooting the village ağa. When asked about the motive for the crime, Feyzo recounts all the events that have happened since his return from military service. He wants to ask Gülo to marry him, but he needs her father’s permission to do so. Bilo, who returns from military service at the same time, also wants to marry Gülo. His father senses his chance to get a large bridewealth for Gülo. What is usually a devout tradition turns into a wild bazaar scene in which the two rivals try to outbid each other.
