KANAK ATTACK

+ FILM TALK WITH FERIDUM ZAIMOGLU

KANAK ATTACK tells the story of 25-year-old Ertan Ongun, born and raised in Kiel, a German national and Kanake. Ertan wears this title, once a shunned insult, proudly and with defiance.

In 13 episodes, the film condenses stories from the world of multi-ethnic migrant children beyond the pedestrian zones. Ertan and his friends spare neither themselves nor others. Friendship, love and loyalty, but also bravado, crime and fast money are the facets of their lives.

In an interplay of poetry and the harshest reality, KANAK ATTACK shows the lives of Ertan, Kemal and Mehdi. In their search for self-assertion in this extreme world, they become men for whom the fun of life lies damn close to violence, death and paranoia.
