Apti, a slightly dorky but likeable street cleaner, lives and works in a neighbourhood in Istanbul. His supervisor Şakir, a corrupt and evil civil servant, deliberately makes life difficult for Apti by insulting and abusing him for minor offences.

Apti is in love with Hacer, a young woman with a compulsion to clean. His attempts to woo her fail because of Hacer’s overprotective brothers. Unfortunately, Apti’s boss Sakir is also in love with Hacer.

Apti is an unlucky man. But one day, an accidental visit to the casino changes his luck in the blink of an eye.
